Statutory Basis: Case tribunals or interim case tribunals appointed under s.76 of the Local Government Act 2000
Description: Administered by the Tribunals Service. Hears and determines references concerning the conduct of local authority councillors, and appeals against the decisions of local standards committees.The Panel hears and determines cases in the first instance but also has an appellate function and determines appeals from local Standards Committee decisions.
